Preschool Screenings
District 34 conducts free monthly developmental screenings for any resident in our school district boundaries, ages 3-5 years old.
During D34 Preschool's screening process, a child's vision, hearing, speech, language, and development will be assessed. Most students attend the program for free through the Preschool for All Grant (PFA). Eligibility is based on factors such as language learner status, student ability, and household income.
If you are interested in your child participating in a screening, fill out the application below. Make sure to select "Preschool screening" in the dropdown menu. After you complete the application, the D34 Preschool team will contact you to schedule a developmental screening. Enrollment in Preschool may occur at any time based on space availability.

The Screening Process
Before the Screening
- Visit register.glenview34.org to register for a screening
- Select Preschool Screening for ‘School’
- Bring original birth certificate to Westbrook School
- Complete residency online
At the Screening
- Check-in and fill out paperwork
- Screen: Hearing/vision, concepts, motor, and language (English language proficiency if bilingual)
- Parent interview (includes social-emotional/self-help areas)
Results are sent the next day that school is in session.
About Preschool For All
Glenview District 34’s Preschool For All program provides high-quality early learning experiences at no cost to eligible families. Rooted in a nurturing, play-based environment, our program helps children build a strong foundation in language, literacy, math, social-emotional skills, and more.
Led by certified early childhood educators, Preschool For All is designed for 3- to 5-year-old children who may benefit from additional support before entering kindergarten. We partner with families to ensure every child is ready to thrive in school and beyond.
